Immaginate di essere in un mondo ibrido, sospeso tra la realtà come noi la vediamo e quella che immaginavamo da bambini, quando tutto aveva una vita a sè, e anche i giocattoli avevano un anima. Qui più di veri e propri balocchi parliamo di una nuova forma d’arte dove i protagonisti assoluti sono allegri fili di maglia intrecciati, che invadono e ricoprono con dolcezza tutto ciò che incontrano sul loro percorso. Il nuovo trend riguarda i graffiti e arriva dall’ America. Una sorta di moda applicata all’arte, che ci lascia sbalorditi e anche un pò sognanti davanti alle sue creazioni a metà tra lo stile cartoon e le vecchie bambole dai capelli di lana tanto care all’infanzia passata. E se si pensa che tutto è nato per caso. L’idea infatti è venuta dal Texas, dalla titolare di un negozio di abbigliamento, Magda Sayeg, che pensò di utilizzare maglioni semilavorati per ornare le maniglie delle porte. L’idea fu così tanto amata e apprezzata che diventò una vera e propria arte, così da riempire pian piano prima le strade e poi i musei di tutto il mondo! La stessa Magda a Città del Messico ci mostra una delle sue opere più belle, ovvero un vecchio autobus in disuso comperto interamente di maglia all’uncinetto! Sulla scia di questo Yarn Bombing, anche altri artisti, come Agata Olek, la cui opera più celebre la ritroviamo a New York, con il celebre toro simbolo dei rialzi della Borsa ricoperta da un maglione e dedicata ai poveri, e l’italiana Giusy Marchetti che ha esposto la sua Fiat 500 intitolata “mi ritorni in mente” e ricoperta all’uncinetto al Miniartexill. Quindi non stupitevi se un giorno, svegliandovi, vi troverete davanti un mondo colorato. Non è un sogno…è la realtà.ENGLISH
